About Kathryn, etc.

Hi there! I am Kathryn Sumner (used to be Tietjen) and I would like to tell you a little bit more about myself-although it's more than likely that many who read this are either my husband, family members, or close friends who already know me inside-out... but irregardless here is me:

Family:

• Wife of Chance Sumner (since August 21, 2010)
• Mommy to Hudson Thomas Sumner (born January 21, 2013)
• A sister (to a wonderful sister!) and sister-in-law to Dylan
• Daughter to Doreen and Peter Tietjen, and daughter-in-law to Ron and Shayla Sumner

Likes:

• Running - LOVE this! Started in 2007, ran an off-season of cross country at PBAU, have run 4 half marathons (Detroit Free Press, Dallas 13.1 - 2011, Big D, and Dallas 13.1 - 2012)
• Cooking - especially for Chance; anything with garlic, onions, and a lot of vegetables; love organic foods
• Writing - this blog of course; journaling is a pasttime too
• Cleaning - sounds strange, but I really love to have a tidy home
• Organizing - enough said
• Studying/reading - Bible, biographies, theology, love stories
• Decorating - although this is NOT my gift
• Being outside & taking walks - especially in South Florida
• Coffee - I really love a good sugar-free soy latte, or any great coffee
• Sports - running, volleyball, soccer, and football (watching this one)

Quirks:

• I hate being cold and I think that the heating blanket was one of the greatest inventions ever
• I am very ticklish
• I drive slow - hey, I've never gotten a ticket!
• I am weird.. no really
• I drink abnormal amounts of water
• I am now on a Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free diet (my mom has Celiac's Disease; I don't have it, but I feel much better without the gluten!)
• I love sweets, desserts, and especially dark chocolate
• I have a knack for spelling
• I make up random words for the fun of it
